Snapdragon 665 vs Mediatek helio G70 which is better chipset ?

The Helio G70 is one of MediaTek’s newest processors. Since its announcement in January 2020, the processor has appeared in one device so far, and that is the Realme C3. Helio G70 is developed by Mediatek to compete Snapdragon 665. Mediatek also launched a video in which they have compered realme c3 (phone with helio g70 processor) with oppo A9 (phone with Snapdragon 665 processor). Lets compare the two.

CPU Comparison

Initially let us discuss manufacturing process for both of them, Helio g70 has 12 nm Manufacturing process and Snapdragon 665 has 11nm manufacturing process. Hence Snapdragon 665 chipset is power efficient and have low battery consumption. Mediatek helio g70 is octa core processor it has 2 cortex A75 performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHZ frequency and 6 cortex A55 efficiency cores clocked at 1.7 GHZ frequency. 

Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 is also a octa core processor. It has 4 Kryo 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and 4 Kryo 260 Silver cores clocked at 1.8 GHZ. According to AnTuTu score it shows that Helio G70 wins the round with 193,790 points as against the Snapdragon 665’s 166,126 points.

GPU and Gaming Comparison

Mediatek Helio g70 uses ARM Mali-G52 MC2 gpu. It has maximum clock frequency of 820 Mhz. On the other hand Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 uses adreno 610 gpu which has maximum clock speed of 600 MHZ. Both the processor provides excellent performance for gaming in mid range category.

Camera

Mediatek Helio g70 processor has 48 MP single camera support and 16 MP dual camera support. Snapdragon 665 has 48 MP single camera support and 16 MP dual camera support. Snapdragon 665 processor can record 4k videos with 30 fps, Helio g70 can record 2k videos with 30 fps.

Display

Mediatek Helio g70 can support 2520 x 1080 Max display Resolution. Where as Snapdragon 665 can support  2520 x 1080 Max screen resolution.

RAM Support

Mediatek Helio g70 can support upto 8 GB of ram with frequency 1800 MHz. Where as Snapdragon 665 can support upto 8 GB of ram with frequency 1866 MHz.

Connectivity

Both these processors supports 4G connectivity. Upload and download speed of Mediatek Helio G70 are 100 Mbps and 300 Mbps respectively. Where as Snapdragon 665 provides 600 Mbps download speed and 150 Mbps of upload speed.

Conclusion (Mediatek Helio G70 vs Snapdragon 665)

According cpu and gpu comparison Mediatek helio g70 is providing excellent performance as compare to Snapdragon 665. Camera and display support of both these chipsets is also similar. According to AnTuTu score helio g70 is clear winner here.
